A winner?

After much debate, and contemplation, here is the "final" version of the Katy Thompson logo. First I have decided to use the longer logo for a few reasons. The name is most elegant in this longer form with subtle descenders and ascenders. Also the stacked version seems to confusing in comparison to the other. While the logo is strong a few things were still lacking. Though the logo was clean and strong, it still needed something a little unexpected to give it in edge. I used both color and geometric shapes to achieve this.

Over all I am pleased with the way things turned out. This has been my favorite logo all along. At the beginning I just wasn't ready to give up on this logo, so I kept working on it. The real test came when I decided to apply it a full business system. Once completed, I was again surprised and pleased at how well it worked. I think this will give katy good success. I hope she likes it as much as I do.

More Branding

Hey Friends,

After my first post for this project I received very helpful input and advice. Therefore, I have decided to continue posting and asking for your help.

Two things were clear after of the first post. First, most everyone thought that the full name options were much stronger and more unique than the initials alone. Second, the bottom and middle right were favored by most commenters, the client, and myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to decided between the two choices. The one makes a more solid mark and is stable, but is not the first one you look at. The other is more conceptually strong and draws instant attention, but is simply very long. Not ready to give up on either, I created several options of business systems using both choices. You will see at least one choice of each item done in each mark. If you see a long line of gray text used anywhere it contains basic information like, address, phone number, e-mail, and address. The main color choices are the light blue with the gray. The very dark blue and medium blue are accent colors.

Take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks again for all your help.

Logo

Hey Friends,

I am working on this logo for my neighbor. She is an interior designer who has worked in styles ranging from modern/contemporary to rustic/outdoorsy. I wanted to stay mostly neutral to keep from being to distracting.

please let me know what you think about all of it.
